Is it normal for a person to be socially awkward and shy as an adult ?

Is it normal for a person to have social anxiety and be shy and not open conversations with people she/he somewhet know but aren't her/his friends even though she /he is an adult ,like she /he is over 25 ?

      • That would be one hilarious club to see. Everyone giving scared glances and no one talking... Ahah

    • I can be very shy around someone but if we can take dumps together I break out of my shell

  • This is why I like to smoke bud, it cures my social anxiety and I don't blush whenever someone looks/talks to me. Haha.

  • many times shy and awkward kids grow up to be....SURPRISE! shy and awkward adults. Its not true all the time, but more often than not it is. Take it from yours truly about the shy and awkward.

In all honestly its not so much shy and awkward as just not caring, at least that is it for me. I always thought the outgoing types and attention seekers were insecure idiots anyway, why else would they knowingly seek out attention like that?

  • Why so many slashes?

I think it is probably normal, but I am having a hard time understanding what your post is trying to ask.

  • When i observe uncool adults and see why they act like i mentioned above it makes me wonder why they aren't relaxed with themselves , free , cool and outgoing like a social butterfly isntead of still being an ugly duckling or an ugly caterpillar.
