Is it normal for a mother to spoon her young naked daughter?

When I was little like under 6 or 7 my Mom would spoon me while I was naked to comfort her. She never touched me in anyway. Is this normal?

    The whole "you being naked" thing really gets me. I say inappropriate. My mom never did that. But all mothers are different, I suppose.

    The only reason I can believe you is because I had a similar experience. I say it's not normal but there wasn't any harm done unless she made you do it when you didn't want to or if she made you feel smothered.

      It made me feel weird. It was the only affection I got from my mother so I took what I could get.

        Yeah it doesn't sound like she meant any harm. When I was younger my mom wouldn't let me do anything by myself. She even dressed me when I was well over the age to dress myself. She was very controlling.

    Was she naked as well? If so I say abuse. Not normal for sure and maybe inappropriate. Also, were you already naked or did she strip you? That makes a difference...

      I ran around naked all the time so I doubt the had to take my clothes off. As far as her, I think sometimes she was in her bra and panties. I dont remember by back was to her. :)

        That's the critical part, IMHO. I don't see anything wrong or strange about a parent cuddling/spooning their child regardless of how they're dressed.

        However, but when I hear "Take your clothes off and come see mommy." in my head, that sounds VERY weird, and creepy.
