Not a fair thing to do. While I can agree that people judging others for what they wear is ridiculous and perhaps should stop, it hasn't stopped and I don't see a time where it will stop, so your mother intentionally making you different to the others which may result in the mockery of you is pretty selfish.
You said you like living as a girl. That's fine and dandy but I'm not sure if this would be your natural wish without what your mother did. Either way, do as you please. It's your choice and you should do what makes you happiest. :)
