It's completely normal for a mother to call her son "baby", "dear" and "honey" and touch him (god forbid a mother touch her child) without being attracted to him. It's not normal for her to want to move in with you guys, nor is it normal for him to tell her he despises her on a regular basis. They need to sort out their relationship and she needs to sort out her life.
