So there's been this teenager breaking in and stealing my eggs. It's been like 3 months and I'm resorting to chasing him off with a frying pan but they have a paintball gun to counter it. I don't know if I should just let the kid have them or keep doing this.

Next time he comes invite him in for scrambled eggs. Maybe he's just hungry and isn't being fed at home. Or he might just be doing it for the thrill or as a way of acting out because he's upset over something. Either way stay calm and try to talk to him. (Unless he's on drugs. If it's drugs, call the freaking police.)
I would just ask him why he's doing that and if he is poor and hungry then maybe you can work something out with him
Buy two trays of eggs for you and the kid.
If he's poor and hungry, then that's probably why he's stealing your eggs.
Either that, or he's stealing them to egg the house of the bully that always pushes him around. He probably already has eggs at home but his mom keeps on eye on them so she can use them for cooking. His mom probably already caught him stealing the eggs from home once already and is keeping a count on them. And he's just a kid who doesn't have enough pocket money to buy his own eggs, so what next? He'll steal em. Kids will go to lengths to stop from getting bullied and/or to try and get even with them. Defending themselves on the playground can be tough when dealing with a bully bigger than you, especially if you're outnumbered. So they need to find a "safer" way to get even, such as egging the bully's house. Most kids won't go far enough to do something such as throwing bricks or stones at the house which could cause damage, really hurt someone, and land the kid in a lot of trouble, so that's where egging his house is perfect. Especially if the eggs are rotton.
He's probably stealing eggs to throw at the house of the kid that picks on him in school. He may be smaller than the bully pushing him around and the bully probably has his friends on the playground backing him up, so egging his house is probably the easiest way for him to get back at him.
Mentioning rotten eggs, throwing them would make the revenge even sweeter.
Get him to do some work for the eggs, you could be able to find him some odd jobs for them?
I suggest asking the kid why steal your eggs in the first place. Maybe he's really poor or something. Otherwise, keep protecting your eggs of course.
How about hiding the edible eggs somewhere unlikely when you're not around and leaving some rotten eggs where the good ones are usually kept?
That should put a stop to it, although if you know who this is put down the frying pan and ask him why only eggs and if he's hungry or just being a moronic nuisance unless he has a good reason contact your local cops.
Whatever, step up your home security, or is he stealing them from your chooks?
