The way i think of things, where were these "family friends" when you were homeless. In my personal experience i can say much of immediate family is the same way, they love to criticize me for doing something that doesn't align with their agenda to get by but will do nothing to help me anyways. They ware wasting your time. The only wrong in this is that she's a married woman,you need to confirm that her husband knows about your arrangement and consents to it. Its never a good idea to mess around with a married woman, if the husband doesn't know you are doing something horrible, if he does, not a huge problem.
