    It's not normal if you don't want him to do that. Tell him to stop it and if he doesn't, block his number, change your number etc.

    He must be thinking of you while he's doing it and wants you to know cuz it turns him on even more. Tell him you're taking a massive shit or change the subject as if you're not giving a fuck what he's doing then he might get the hint.

    Well, if it makes you uncomfortable, tell him to knock it off and keep his personal business to himself.

    If it continues and begins to ruin your friendship, block his number and be done with the whole thing.

    It would only be normal if you enjoyed getting his texts and calls during his "personal time." Otherwise, no, it's not normal for someone to have no respect for his friend's feelings.
