It's fine if it's an act of self defense in which you attacked him, but if no one was physically hurting anyone to begin with, then it's not okay. Guys are predominantly stronger than women, so they should know not to hit females. I'm not going for the idea that girls should hit guys either. Honestly, I think it's immature for anyone to physically hit someone because of a verbal fight, whether they opposite sex/same sex or same sex/same sex, and people who can't control their temper needs some anger management classes.
