Is it normal for a guy to hit a girl?

    In my opinion, a guy should only hit a girl if she hits him first. You didn't hit him, so he had no right to hit you. If you haven't already ended the friendship, then end it. He's probably an unstable and dangerous person if he throws punches to win an argument.

        This is one of those rare times that I'm taking ItDuz's side here. Why would that not be phrased as "a person should only hit a person"? Yes, the tendency for men to be physically stronger provides an imbalance, but a punch to the nose hurts regardless. How about "punching is bad unless in self-defense".
