In this case, it's either he is bi, if you are a male, or he wanted to give you a try.
Or who knows, maybe he is just a very lonesome guy who could not find anyone else to go watch a movie with. Or maybe he was looking for somebody to engage in a threesome with. He was already engaged when you went out with him or he found this girlfriend of his afterwards? Also: what did you do once you got to his house? Played videogames? Slept together? You just aren't giving me enough informations here. He might be into you for something.
Maybe he is planning on just using you. Like: maybe he just wanted to hang out with you because he figured out he could scrounge drugs. Or cigarettes. Or a place to stay when he is left out in the cold by those he calls friends.
