He is acting extremely immature. I would wait one more week and see if he responds if you want him back. If not then move on. He lives really far and if someone like that can fall for you that fast then they can fall away from you just as fast. You don't need that. He is clearly a jerk and maybe you can just stay friends. You should not be with someone who abandons you so quickly. He may repeat the same behavior when you guys have a couple kids and then what are you going to say " I should have seen it coming when he abandoned me the first time" ? Also, he moved away too. He has no problem abandoning situations and he also abandoned his family and friends so abruptly to go see you on a whim. I say, leave him.
