Fight to see your little four year old grandson if you have the energy and resources to do so. It's a real shame your daughter is so pathetically codependent with her abusive partner! Perhaps family therapy with your adult daughter would help the situation.
Just out of curiosity is there any history of alcoholism, drug abuse, child abuse or neglect with yourself or your spouse in regards to your daughter during her childhood and or did you or your spouse or daughter ever experience any abuse from your or your spouse's parents. I'm not trying to be a accusatory in any way but rather to point out that things of this nature tend to run in families. I hope for the sake of this helpless and blameless little boy that ya'll can stop the cycle.
