Yes. Its normal for a heterosexual father who has a son that is gay to not be accepting of it. Personally, I would love my child regardless. But I also understand the fathers point of view and understand where his pain is coming from so that doesn't make him a bad person, but he does need to get over it eventually if he truly loves his son. Not like it, but at least accept it.
