I had a job when he kicked me out the second time. Thing is he made me set up direct deposit to his bank so I couldn't save up for a car or a place, one of the main reasons I couldn't stand living there.
That's very inappropriate. It sounds like he's really Codependent and controlling. It would be one thing for him to ask for some financial help with household expenses but this sounds like something else to me.
By any chance do you have any irresponsible habits like abuse of alcohol or drugs that would prevent you from properly managing your own money?
Recreational marijuana. I liked playing video games and Yugioh. I wouldn't always do chores but there were two other people in the house that could do them
