What makes it creepy is the predatorial aspect of the relationship. A 25 year old man or woman would (should) have so much more experience in dating and sex as to make the relationship: 1 - unfulfilling, and 2 - massively unequal. If neither of these is the case, you`re dealing with an abnormal relationship, and the adult is going to be interpreted as creepy by a lot of people.
And again, the 15 year old is deemed legally unable to consent. So your comment about two consenting individuals is completely irrelevant. 15 year old kids are not normally called to account to society for their decisions because (on balance) they`re too young and inexperienced to understand the ramifications. They can`t get a credit card on their own, they can`t vote, they can`t drive, they can`t drink, or buy smokes, they can`t be tried as adults (unless extreme circumstances exist).
They can look into some creep`s eyes and say `Ì love you`if they want, but society keeps that creep from doing anything potentially damaging physically, emotionally etc. to that young person, it`s the state and society taking on a parental role.
I`m well aware about the age of consent in other countries. I`ve lived in some of them. Let`s not use Yemen and Saudi Arabia as our basis for what`s normal and acceptable in a developed democracy.
And what exactly in my comments bring god into this? Most of the places where women`s marriage rights are most problematic use religion as the basis, not the other way around. Your ignorance is making the unfortunate transition to stupidity.
Not sure why all of you guys are so angry at each other but funkedup I agree that a 25 and 15 yr old are not equal partners... The fact is 15 year olds do almost all of what u said they can't... They drink they smoke etc... And it's not just Saudi Arabia it's countries like Italy and Germany where having sex with a 15 year old is legal... Either way I found myself feeling creepy so I won't say that it's not still weird on some level
