Well, to be honest, I think so. I also do not think it is a bad thing to understand Paganism.
A lot of names, mythology, and therefore classical references, literary references and so forth are made from Pagan beliefs, myths etc.
Many rituals borrowed by Christianity are from Pagans.
The names of the days of the week came from days that the Pagans arranged to worship their gods and goddesses.
If you ask me, to know something about Pagans is to know a little more about Christianity.
You sound like, to me, that you believe in God quite firmly. Learning about other religions' perceptions of God or their gods and goddesses should not shake your belief, in fact, it would seem to me that it might help you appreciate and understand things in your religion a bit more. I wouldn't fret about it, personally.
Learning is the path to wisdom and wisdom is the path to understanding God.
