Is it normal for a boy to give you his jacket?

so this random boy that I don't talk a lot besides for like a couple seconds every class or non at all give me his jacket. I was just sitting at my seat and he was walking pass me but stopped. He asked me what was wrong but I wasn't complaining or anything. I told him I was cold then he asked me did I want his jacket. He took it off and give it to me. I thought he would take it back when the class was over but he didn't. He let me wear it all day so I was really happy he did that. When I give it back he said "are you done with it? thank you" I think I have a crush on him now but I'm scared that he did that out of kindness. Can you tell me what you think?
