Somehow it turned into a unmanly thing to hug or get hugged, I am 18 and my dad and I have a great relationship but he's got Parkinson's disease now and can't hug me anymore. I suggest you show your love openly while you still can, these memories really stick. And I'm no wimp, I can whip anyone's ass if they ask for it, but that doesn't mean that I can't love my dad and respect him.
