Is it normal for a 17 year old boy's shorts to wear shorts above his knees?

Your classmates kinda sound like dicks. As long as you're not hurting anyone or making anyone excessively uncomfortable then wear whatever's comfortable/what you think looks good

Are you an athlete at all? In high school, I think it was almost a majority of males on the track team and soccer team who wore shorts that didn't reach their knees. They said allowed for freer movement when competing and I assume they got used to the way it feels and chose to wear that even if it wasn't the current style
