It depends. I think everyone feels this way from time to time, but if it's a long term problem it might be symptomatic of a chemical imbalance in your brain. You might be lacking the brain chemicals most people associate with feelings of reward, satisfaction, and happiness, that are created in small amounts even when we do small things, like eat a favorite food or watch a good tv show. A lot of people associate depression with sadness, but it can manifest itself as extreme apathy as well. If your feeling the need to self medicate with alcohol, it might be a little more serious that just feeling...blah.
