Because it is victim blaming. Is she just never supposed to bring home a guy in fear of getting raped? Or should men just not rape women in their sleep? Which sounds more logical?
Same kind of shit happened at my job last week. My co-worker's wife calls and tells him that some weirdo jumped out at her in a parking lot and started harassing her. His immediate response is "Well, did you have your stun gun?... Well that's why you need to carry it!" Like why are you giving your wife shit? She's the victim here and you're mad at her because some piece of shit ran up on her.
The problem with our culture (especially in the past five years) is when you mention this kind of thing and tell men to not be shitty they throw the "white knight" or "cuck" label, those are the same people who say there's no rape culture... okay, sure....
Again, why is she to blame for someone else’s actions? Can you imagine if women raped men more often and we told them “Alright, you guys gotta stop bringing women over, you know what could happen...”
