  • Yes and No. What you have to realize is that bleeding can happen with or without warning. Women get their periods and sometimes, the blood can get on under ware, clothing and bedsheets.

People can injure themselves with out warning and depending on the type of injury, there could be small to profuse amounts of blood. I used to know this boy that was bizarrely accident prone. One day, he was playing football in doors and crashed head first into home-ec. The resulting injury was a pretty serious nosebleed. I was informed another time that he and some of his other friends decided to go rolling down a hill. Everyone else who did it was perfectly fine. However, when he did it he somehow managed to get his leg impaled on a stick. Of course, he was taken to the hospital where I'm sure he underwent surgery. Think about all the blood that may have gotten on his clothes.

Some people have hemorrhoids and stomach ulcers. Think about all that blood accidentally getting on their clothes or *gasp* things that can't be washed like sofas!

Think about all that blood that has gotten on hospital fabrics. Don't you think they have to know how to effectively get the stains out?

Some people cough up blood, but I'm sure, by now, you get my point.
