  • you shouldnt be dating if you are a gamer. sorry but i would never date a guy like you. i dont want to say youre a nerd but you need to do something else than play video games all the time. having a girl and getting laid is more important, you dont want to die alone do you?

and second, you say drinking has been a problem before? so you drink and play video games all the time? maybe you have issues that you should deal with.

and like some other guy said above, sort out your priorities. get help with your gaming problem because even though it doesnt seem like it now, having a gf and getting married are far more important, and if you wait until its too late you will never have either of those things and regret having played video games your whole life.

      • wow i didnt get a notification for this.
are you the guy who wrote this story? basically to sum up what i think; i just dont like how it sounds that you chose video games over a girl. period. it doesnt really matter the details and reasons, its just that fact.
and to be fair, youre the one talking about things you do in your life, you dont know what i do in mine

      • youre right i probably do...she is somebody who cares about him and wants him to do the right thing. i probably also sound like his mom, his dad, his teachers, his doctors, his friends, his coworkers etc etc.

        • Oh yeah, she cares about him, that's why she tries to choke him. <---- Sarcasm.

The truth of the matter is that she is probably a crazy bitch. There is nothing wrong with playing video games IN MODERATION. Plenty of people, including myself, enjoy playing video games and also have other more important priorities that they put ahead of them such as work, wife, kids, school, etc. (your earlier comment saying gamers shouldn't date is incredibly offensive by the way).

Considering all of that, I do see the other side a little bit too, that this guy probably plays video games way to much and so that is definitely a contributor in why his relationship is suffering, however, I think that your opinions on the matter are very biased.

P.S. I have a 4.0 grade point average so far and I have been playing video games since I was very little.

          • what i meant by 'gamer' is someone who makes video games his life...those kinds of guys shouldnt date, and the guy who made this story obviously doesnt WANT to either.
almost every guy i know plays sometimes, theres nothing wrong with that at all. but i wouldnt call them a 'gamer'

and i think maybe his gf is doing those crazy things because she reallly wants to get his attention?...but im not sticking up for her either, shes not right...shes stupid for staying with a guy chooses video games over her

            • Ok, I understand now and I also agree with you. To me though, the words "gamer" and "loser" are not synonymous.

              • yeah i dont think so either. liking video games doesnt make you a loser, nor does being addicted to them for that matter, addicts are probably compensating for something lacking, but that can be destructive to themselves and others around them, so its not normal.
but now im sounding like an interventionist so ill stop
