This is so common, my grandmother has said for years she refuses to write up a will giving us anything because that's the only time we'll care about her, I visit her often but I'm not like my moocher family and want something from her. I totally get where you're coming from, it's quite the annoyance dealing with family members that just want want want. Basically whenever somebody in your family passes away then there will always be that one person who tries to get everything they can, in my case there's quite a few of the type. My advice, cut them off completely, if she doesn't get the message through being ignored, pay her a visit and tell her to her face to stop bugging you guys and do something with herself so she can get the money she always needs, it's not your responsibility nor your parents to take care of her even if she guilt trips you.
Yeah, exactly how it is, like they are trying to get everything they can like uncle scrooge went crazy and is throwing money in the street. Or even worse, as if somebodys giving out free tee shirts at a concert, they could be shit covered for all everybody knows but they will still crowd around pushing and grabbing. I never understood.
I guess it's just that there are two types of people, the type to get whatever they can for free even if it means their dignity and embarrassment, and then there's the people of our type who take a good look at it all, step back, and would rather just let people make fools of themselves while we hold our dignity and wouldn't stoop to their low level.

Well my grandmothers exact words "I'll let them all fight for my things like the animals they are" so, not looking forward to that.
