I dont think all serial killers were all smart. Considering how many of them get caught I think its easy to say most of them are not smart enough to pull off a crime. Also anyone can kill for any reason. Some are actually brilliant and get away with it for years. Con artist I think are probobly a lot smarter.
It was simply an observation. I notice many of them are intelligent. Most of the kids in my school that were valid Victorian and honors were all anime nerds. Most of the gamers I know are very book smart or very computer suave.
A lot of gamers happen to be great with computers. My point was a lot of people in these groups tend to be very intelligent. Yes this does not always account for social or common sense always.
There might be an exception but a lot of them seem to be very intelligent.
Well the serial killer getting caught actually has very little to do with their intelligence in the first place, the FBI has always stated that they get caught out of "dumb luck" most of the time. The most "successful" serial killer in American history was Gary Ridgeway, he killed near 50 women over 20 years and he was actually "slow" with an IQ of 84. Then you've got the "tool box killers" one of them a guy with a near genius IQ of 138, they last about five months.
I was just pointing out that the FBI has tested them and found that they have exactly the same IQ ratios wise as the rest of the world, some dumb, most normal, some really smart.

And carpenters are good with wood. If you use something alot you get good with it, doesn't mean you're smart at all. You're born with a certain level of intelligence, that's why peoples IQ's don't change, you can improve it slightly by exercising the mind often but only by a few points. Because it is more or less a set thing.
