I was just kinda wondering on everyones perspective/view on anal is. My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time a couple days ago, and it wasn't the best experience for me, but he seemed to like it. Also is it normal to have any side effects from it?

I said this on a similar post, in my experience, Anal sex can be: good, bad or ugly. It's a gamble. I'm sure most people try it at some point, so I guess that makes it normal.
I've had some really good experiences with previous girlfriends, and they've enjoyed themselves a lot, but then I've also had times when it's not been so good either due to it hurting the girl (which obviously isn't fun) or mess...
If you want to maximise the likelihood of a good experience: Lots of lube, be relaxed (preferably without alcohol) and have plenty of foreplay, involve anal stimulation in the foreplay, make sure the bum in question is clean - the best thing is an enema (home-made) during a shower (it sounds a bit gross but it's worth it), make sure you're both enthusiastic about doing it, go slow (at least at first), have wipes on hand and add lube during to maintain comfort.
It can take a bit of getting used to, and some people never do, but if you're still interested in it despite a less-than-brilliant first try, why not? The 2nd time or 3rd time down the line could be great.

Anal sex is fine. I actually enjoy it now and again. Not all the time but it can be enjoyable :-) Use lots of lube and use a vibrator on your clit at the same time, it helps.

Very, very normal. It's one of the most common things people try outside of vaginal and oral. Lube up his cock and your ass, play with your clit while he slides inside you and while he fucks you, and you'll start to enjoy it the more you do it.
Everyone has sexually experimented at one time or another. IMO, anal is a very tame experiment. You should not feel like you have to do it again just because he liked it but you may want to try it again with lots of lube and a bit more experience - maybe you will like it then? If not it's no great loss. I personally do not like anal. It's uncomfortable to have my pooper full of penis.
You already know about the lube....I would also recommend having him stimulate that area. Have him rub it, slide a finger in....he needs to help you relax. If you can relax it won't hurt and can be amazing
Anal sex is taboo an people don't talk about it no way near as much as it goes on. Anal stimulation can be enjoyable to guys an girls. It's very common. But only do what your comfortable with and always use lube. Also never have anal sex an then vaginal sex with out changing condom or washing penis, dildo etc.
