I didn't even realize that the movie ruined the writer for me until nearly 10 years later. I'm reading his stuff again though. So I did give it a chance another chance. :)
Comics are an interesting piece of storytelling. There is never just one writer or one story. There are hundreds sometimes thousands of issues all for one character. The character really stands out. I wouldn't have an issue if the movie changed the plot since plots in comics are already very flexible. Daredevil was ridiculously noble. The movie made him the opposite of noble, he was a different person. Sometimes there are bad movies but they normally don't get the character's personality completely wrong.
