Is it normal a movie ruined a series for me?

  • It's normal but if F.M is a poetic genius you shouldn't let the film ruin his work. I've seen many films that were based on books. Some were fantastic and others didn't stick with the original plot. Look at the spiderman trilogy, the first two were great but the last one was mostly a sappy piece of crap. Despite this, I still want to read the comics. Even the Harry Potter films weren't true to the books, but I still enjoy the series. Give it another chance:)

Comics are an interesting piece of storytelling. There is never just one writer or one story. There are hundreds sometimes thousands of issues all for one character. The character really stands out. I wouldn't have an issue if the movie changed the plot since plots in comics are already very flexible. Daredevil was ridiculously noble. The movie made him the opposite of noble, he was a different person. Sometimes there are bad movies but they normally don't get the character's personality completely wrong.
