Majizz is right. About 80% of the time people feel like this is because of reason one (on Majizz list).
I experienced this, very vigorously, between the ages of thirteen and fifteen when I was reading Edgar Allan Poe. Once I obsereved the influence thoroughly, the feeling went away.
It is fascinating how much outside influences can effect our subconscious, so be careful! =)
