True enough. You can often tell when someone is mentally translating from another language and I make a conscious effort to use standard English and no nuance when replying.

The OP is probably talking about a lack of care though. What worries me is when I see CVs written that way and then people wonder why they're less employable. Spellcheck is actually making the problem worse, I think. It's why I never use it (and also why my posts often contain mistakes).
