Is it normal 2 feel disconnected after 3 surgeries w anesthesia

June 2010- back surgery, November 2010 neck surgery, December 2010 elbow surgery- and ever since a long list of strange unrelated symptoms- memory problems, tongue feels fat and hard to talk, don't feel comfortable in body, panic attacks, strange thoughts, difficulty sleeping...can it be a side effect to so much anesthesia in one year- its almost 2 months since my last surgery and see no hope of change in sight. Any thoughts or advise appreciated.

  • See a doctor, and stop asking people on websites who most likely don't know what they are talking about, medical wise.

  • Depression is a side effect.

  • It's normal. The drugs they'll put you on for that sort of thing, both during and after the operation, are very powerful. Are you on any opiate painkillers still (vicodin, percocet, oxycontin, etc.), because if so some of those side effects could be explained by that.
