Interesting. Would you want to be there while it was happening? I've always had this real thing about being in New York at the turn of the 20th century when all the skyscrapers were going up and movies were becoming common.
Absolutely sure would have wanted to be there. I think it started when I did a project on the Gold Rushs at primary school on School of the Air. My son and I have just came back from trekking in Laos, panning gold with the Hmong artisan miners. We were going to go to Myanmar but ran out of time trying to let visa for where we wanted to go.

I agree. I should have been born prior to the gold rushes as it reallye feels like I was there. So I was born in the wrong century.
