Is it normal..

I have ovophobia, also known as the fear of eggs. I can still look at an egg but i cant touch it, and i cannot for life of me, eat one . I think it all started when i was 2. All my mom and grandma fed me for breakfast (and sometimes dinner) were scrambled friggin eggs. This went on for about six years, until i was 8. After that couldn't stand to eat anymore. (in between the six years i did eat other foods like noodles, fruits etc. but it was just mostly eggs)
just the look and smell of scrambled eggs makes want to throw up, if i were offered a million to eat just one i'd honestly just leave. It's not worth it for me.

If you stare at the middle of this post you randomly see the word egg standing out in your peripheral vision all over the place more than any other words here, it's slightly trippy.

It's completely normal to have phobias in general. It usually results from having bad experiences with your phobia. Like I have misophonia, which is basically a fear of certain sounds. It comes from bad things that my mind associates with those sounds.

I'm planning scrambled eggs for breakfast but I'm sure if I'd had to eat them so frequently as a child I wouldn't want to eat them now either.

Did your parents have a poultry farm and were feeding you the surplus, or what?

I love eggs! I mostly like boiling eggs, but I like scrambled eggs with shredded cheese too.
