Is it normal.... witness to a dispute

(First post) As I was driving home from work today I witnessed a traffic dispute where a man's head was beat in front of me and I did absolutely nothing to help him, which in itself in not strange but how I reacted to the situation, as it as it was taking place and after the event is my question. The bottom line is I found it funny, I laughed as I watched him being struck about the head by two other men. This has never happened before and I felt the stress of that day drain from my body. I proceeded to drive around them and had a good belly laugh over it. I don't know the fate of the man who looked hurt as you would with two men beating on you. I found this site looking for answers.. is it normal, do other people do things like that?
The only time I had laughed at something like that was when I had an electrician at my home pretending to choke a young labourer with some flex, I felt awkward then, but put it down to the trade joking about as you see them do a lot. anyway another story for another time. thanks in advance.,

The latter might be Normal because he/she was pretending, but seriously how can you laugh at someone in danger?
