Is it me or are womens pant waists very high?

I buy my pants from the juniors section of various popular clothing stores (JC Penney, Ross, Belk, etc), size medium or 7/9 and the waists always seem so high. I'm wearing a pair of leggings right now from JC Penney, medium, from the young women's section aka juniors and the waist is practically under my tits! I am 5'7" tall for fucks sake. It's so uncomfortable. I don't understand, is it me or is it how they're making pants these days?

I can't stand those ultra high waisted pants! Muffin tops be damned, I'm not buying those damn pants. Gimme mid or low waisted pants instead of that high waisted crap.

I think it is Chinese clothes. The zip on male pants are getting so short, every time I take a pee it feels like strangling myself.

    • You might be right about cheap manufacturers because another problem I have is I will often buy multiples of the same exact brand and size from the same store on the same day and they will all fit a bit differently. At Ross I can maybe understand since some of what they sell are mistakes but that shouldn't happen at regular stores. Costco usually sells excellent stuff but I have 2 pairs of same brand and size sweat pants from there where one is more like a small rather than medium and 2 pairs of pajama pants (that came in the same package even!)where one has weaker fabric and the other has thicker feeling fabric that pilled real bad. The waist bands are also slightly different.

What gets me down is that only after the first wash, you find one side was cut to small. So they cut the other side bigger! As you say, cheap stuff.

Yeah I recently bought pants online. Never doing that again.
I had not bought pants for 3 years so I was extremely surprised when the pants came in and they were covering my belly button and every time I sat down the part of the pants in the waist area would fold in a ugly flap because I don’t have fat in my stomach area to fill it in.
They fit my legs perfectly. It is like they except me to have a big muffin top or something.
I never had pants like this before.

    • I love the idea of shopping online but the reality is terrible! It's really only ok if you know the brand from experience, otherwise the size, quality and fabrics can be really off. But then you still can lose because some name brand stuff is counterfeit even on amazon or its semi legit but made in a brand factory that uses lower end materials. I got a pair of puma suede from amazon and they just cracked apart within weeks, looked into it because I always had great experience with puma and it turns out its pretty common along with a lot of other brands.

it's the current fashion trend, especially for teenage girls. these super high waist pants are designed to accentuate the buttocks and crotch area.

    • Ugh, I guess I'll have to ride it out then and wait until low rise comes back and stock up.
