Is it less awkward for a 50 year old man to pursue

This dude at work likes me and he said he'd rather marry a woman in her mid 30s who looks younger over a woman who actually is younger because it'll be less awkward. He also said his family will be more likely to accept me, they'll shut up about him being single, and he still gets someone who looks younger. I already told him I have a boyfriend and my own goals and dreams I'm working towards. I'm happy with my current life and have no reason to derail and marry a guy I barely know.

Do a lot of older men think like this? Which one would they rather pursue?

      The amount of time he's spent fantasizing about this (e.g. "my family will accept you more easily because...") isn't even a red flag, it's a goddamn bullseye planted directly on OP's back
