    • If you want to remain ignorant and pretend the law is based on you, not my problem.

      • Its not the law if the other person OWNS it. I dont think you understand the law.

        • Educate yourself please. I'm not doing the research for you. He bought it, yes. He owns it? Not exactly. He's not yet 18 and is dependent on his parents. His parents can take whatever game they want from him, it doesn't matter if he bought it or not. You can figure this out with a simple Google search.

          • If he bought it, he owns it.

If he worked for it and paid it out of his own money.

Your just justifying stealing at this point. Well done.

            • No I'm not. I'm answering OP's question. It's legal. I repeat, it doesn't matter what you think. If you care so much, go change the law. Quit being delusional.

              • Really, it depends on what it is and how they got it. And it is generally legal for parents/guardians to control use of 'personal posessions' but gets hairy when you're talking about selling, destroying, disposing of the property. The main problem children have here is enforcing their rights of ownership, so you might as well say that in the case of personal property, it's 'effectively legal' for parents to take it and do what they want with it because the police aren't going to get involved. They'd have to sue, much of the time it's not feasible or financially worth it, and the court may not even be sympathetic.

Taking someone's stuff that they worked for themselves = Stealing
