It can't be just because we are getting older and miss our youth either. It's like they don't even try anymore. I remember great cartoons growing up and toys that go with them and now I don't see much of either.
It just feels that quality has been drained out of everything and we as society pretty much accepted it. I feel bad for our kids who won't know better. It saddens me that my future children won't know cartoons like "Rescue Rangers" or "Duck Tales" as I did growing up. On television, it seems that it is all Japanize animation which doesn't make much sense to watch and even less in writing skill to produce.
For instance, my fiance loves the show Yugioh for some god awful reason and I tried watching it with her. I honestly can't stand it and as a starting writer, I look at the writing and it goes no where. They describe this "twist" and without any logical thinking they add that "twist" over there. For a story to work there has to be a flow that most shows now days do not follow. Am I wrong on this.
Is it just me or has television or has television gotten more lame?
