Is it illegal to hire pest control for a cat problem?

Like cats shitting in your yard and agitating your chickens, eating them, and causing your dog to bark constantly at night? I know a guy who will put out a cage with poison for raccoons and stuff and will do the same for cats.

you can get into big trouble for doing that, not to mention it's a terrible cruel thing to do to somebody's pet! Don't do it.

I cannot, and will not support the idea of anyone poisoning cats for any reason! Shame on you!

If you are having problems with stray, and or feral cats on your property then you can call animal control of course. However, the ideal thing to do would be to call various cat rescue organizations in your area, and find out if any of them are willing to set human traps on your property with which to catch the cats. Then ideally the cats should be taken in by a rescue organization that is willing to have them spayed, and neutered. If the cats are feral rather than just homeless strays then perhaps there is a rescue organization that cares for colonies of feral cats that can take these cats into their care.

It's really not that hard to do the right thing!

I don't know, where I live I contacted animal contral over the same issue. They said cats "are special and they can't do anything about them". they did offer me some traps for me to catch them then call animal control so they comr get them afterwards. But they won't come catch them themselfs...what pussies no pun intented ๐Ÿคฃ

I have you being a troll.
Ive never heard of a cat killing a chicken.
unless it was a young chick.
A full grown chicken is no easy kill.
Picturing a cat eating a full grown fully feathered chicken?
    That also doesnt happen.
You have a loose enough caged area that cats can enter? Your birds would have escaped already.
Your dogs barking is not related.
    Cats shitting in your yard..?
Cats dont wander into yards and randomly shit while dogs are barking.
    They also bury their poo.
    Why are you trolling?

Not sure that's the solution they would use, but I'm sure they could help you out. I would give them a call and ask about it.

Don't poison the cats! No matter how annoying they are. They're so cute! ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ™€๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿ˜พ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ™€๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜น

    • Yeah but raccoons are arguably cuter and much more intelligent. They are routinely poisoned in my area.

No animal should be poisoned, just deterred (except when there are bugs in the house. They will get zapped)
