I ride and there is some “protocol” around this, if you care about protocol. If the two guys are using the bike as needed transportation to ride straight to a destination, no worries, they just sit as far apart as possible and the guy on back doesn’t hold onto the guy in front. Lots of guys would really try to avoid this situation even if it meant walking. If they are riding two up for pleasure/recreation, it’s viewed by some as similar to two guys dancing together or other close activity done by couples. Maybe not gay, but not super manly.
