I don't see why you have to abide by all these first date bullshit rules. The dress looks good, you can wear it whenever you want... What's everyone afraid of? Being offended?
Forget them sweetheart, if you are confident and you've weighed this guy up ( your mostly certain he isn't going to be like one of the first date rule abiding posters here) then you should wear the dress.
As dappled said earlier " if a girl wore that dress for me... " we'll I can say I would be smiling all evening.
