Is it fine if my boyfriend doesn't come to my house anymore?

So I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year now. Thing is, my stepdad doesn't like him, at all. He's somewhat cordial to him but then there are times where he's a complete butt to him. For instance, my parents took us to the school football game and we didn't know the game was over and I had no signal. When my stepdad finally found us, he was yelling at us that he didn't feel like waiting all night for us, he told my boyfriend to shut up when he started defending me, and he was entirely rude. Another time, my stepdad accused my boyfriend of cheating at monopoly. Constantly, my stepdad is saying comments about him every time his name is mentioned. It's so embarrassing. My mom feels bad about my boyfriend not liking to come over. She feels my stepdad reflects on her. At the same time, I still want him to come over to my house.

Is It Normal?

    That sounds like a situation my friend is in, and her boyfriend does not go to her house either. I don't blame him for not wanting to rock the boat for no reason. It is just all around an unpleasant situation that can simply be avoided by no contact, at least in my experiences.

        God that sounds like my dad XD I can just imagine.

        That guy cheated on monopoly. That means he is going to cheat every time there is an opportunity in life to cheat, including on my daughter. Yeah, fuck that guy! Lying sack of cheating shit, as revealed by monopoooooly!

        Ugh. OP, drive yourself to football games. My dad is like that too and he is more mellow when he is not involved in the details, like driving. When my dad is involved in plans, especially plans that make me seem young, (like him having to drive me and my bf somewhere to a football game) he automatically thinks my bf is immature and a pussy, like my bf is a little kid, and he respects him less.

    What's not normal here is that you were at a football game but "we didn't know the game was over". Now how do you do THAT? Sounds like your step dad has plenty to worry about with this guy.
