Is it ever normal to use the word shiksa?

Some people (both Jewish and non-Jewish people) think it's a bad word, others think that it's not. And some might have humoristic purposes when they use that word.

I'm not Jewish and I thought it was a cute and funny word. I've called myself a Shiksa and I called my "Wandering Jew" plant a "Wandering Shiksa" for a little while because it tickled my bean.

I think the situation is totally different from the N-word, at least in the west. There's a difference between kicking down vs sideways vs up. If I lived in a society where "shiksas" were actively discriminated against for a long time, I would probably be pretty mad about a Jewish person calling me that. As it is, it's a cute friendly joke.

Never heard of it. What does it mean? How is it used?

Yeah, it's probably normal for some people to use that word, but is derogatory.

It's probably normal for some people to use the word, and not normal for others, because it's considered a derogatory term for a gentile woman.

That depends. If the person isn't jewish then it is derogatory. Just like the N word coming from a black person doesn't seem to bother anyone. But let a white person say it and then the whole white race is condemned for everything that has ever happened to a black person in the past.
