Kind of odd yeah, unless you were friends back then... Even then i'd be a bit odd depending on how old you guys are now.
I was very much a loner in high school but for the first half of it I had a couple friends that I slipped away from. I miss them sometimes and regret that I did that but I don't message them even though we're friends on facebook. It just feels weird to me considering we were never very close and only hung out after school like twice so searching someone up and messaging them... Hmm I wouldn't but it's really so hard to say how she'd react. I don't know her. Some people would consider it creepy yeah, others might think it's fun to reconnect. You could always start by just adding her, maybe also send a message saying you recognize her from back then and see if she takes up the convo or even accepts in the first place.
I wouldn't just add her, that would be kinda weird yes. I'm thinking if I do this at all, it'll be a message saying something like "hey are you so and so from there and then?" And if it happens, it happens.
