Yeah you're obsessed to him, and I hate to break it to you, if you didn't follow your instinct to back off from wishful thinking about him, he will break your heart. He feel awkward about the relationship and want to get out of it so he can hopping into someone one else because you expected too much affection from him that it make him feel stressed.
When I'm in love with anyone, the first thing I need to be aware of is if she is not into me, so I don't go crazy about losing her, so she won't freak out and be relax around me... if it don't work out, have a friend of opposite gender is better than nothing - it's priceless to have alot of buddies on your side, plus it's pretty cheap 'cause relationship is all about two-way street, give-and-take, and I have yet to master it. Trust me, I was in obsession once for long time and I get over it so I understand it's hard for you to slap yourself out of it at first.
