Is is normal to fantasize about the 1940's golden age.

I like the 70s. The clothes actually fit people.

I love the 30's-70's. A time of GOOD Music and beautiful fashion. I love watching old movies on TCM and wish I could live in those eras. I feel like I was born in the wrong time. BUT in reality living back then wouldn't work out so well since I'm black. lol.

I'm obssessed with the 1920's! Silent movies & all that! I was born in the wrong time period! I so belong in the '20's not now! I wish I could time travel! If you're nuts, then I am too! Glad I'm not alone!

Best not to confuse the 1940s of the movies with the 1940s of reality - I don't think it was a more fun or simple time.

Sometimes, I believe I was born in the wrong era. I am absolutely fascinated with the 1930s and would of loved to have been born around 1910 so I could of enjoyed it :-)

A few years ago I used to be totally obsessed with the 80s, had big hair and everything (still do sometimes). So I'd say it's normal.

I'm obsessed with the hippie era. Always have been since i was very young. Everybody's got their thing. It's what makes people unique. Just go with it.

I'm born in the right decade but the wrong place. I hate my country and I wish I were a different ethnicity as well.

My brother is also one of those people who feel like they were "born in the wrong decade". He's 17, but seems to have an "old soul" in some ways. He loves anything to do with the 20s through the 50s. Almost all of the movies he likes are black & white, and he listens to stuff like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. So I say you're normal!

The world was wracked with war for half that decade but, I agree, the film-making was beautiful. For me, my special little time has always been the fin de siècle period in New York City of the 1890's and the decade afterwards.
