You have a point on everything other than 2 and 4. Some people do not ever get access to chat, and 4 some people only want to chat with their friends and their is no guarantee those people will get gold. You cant expect someone is just going to get it. Gold is either a gift or you have to buy it. I think PMs should be free and not a Gold only standard. The gold thing ruins your conversation because you can be having one and suddenly that person runs out of gold. That is a pain.
