    Well, a commercial i think for eharmony does say 1 in 5 relationships start online but who knows! I don't think I could ever do it but maybe when I'm old with a million cats I'll be singing a different tune.

    Sure, if both people involved want it to work, it can. However it shouldn't stay long distance forever. You'll have to meet sometime sooner or later. I have an interweb friend who lives here in the US, and she e-dated a Turkish guy for over a year. They never met though & she's married now to a totally different guy.
