Is herbalism a normal hobby?

I have been collecting, researching and using herbal medicine and visionary herbs for 3 years now. Ginko, Blue lilly, Kratom, Salvia, kava; these sorts of things. Is this a normal hobby?

    I have just started this hobby, is more of an obsession with trying to get high legally. I don't even want to get high that much, it's just really interesting testing out different things. Strongest thing I got was X40 salvia and weakest was probably kratom (bad batch I think) Got like £130 of random herbs coming in the next 2 days and I'm going to have fun blending :D

    That's awesome XD Really, that's such a nice hobby. Living in a society where herbal medicines would be needed would be epic. You probably just like things that you can make, things that aren't like "aspirin," that have a crudload of minerals or w/e. Tell me, are you also interested in making weapons and hunting game? (no sarcasm intended)
    Btw, do you also learn traditional ways of healing wounds and such?
