Yes him saying it is absent of those things and you saying that he "is the one who said heaven was sex drugs and rock and roll" is a big difference. You quoted him as saying the exact opposite of what he actually said.
Again with the sarcasm, I don't understand it. I am not trying to be smart, I was just pointing out that you misunderstood for the purpose of the conversation. You misunderstood him, no big deal, people make mistakes. But when you resort to childish sarcasm rather than just acknowledge your mistake it makes you look like exactly like that, a child.
Why is no one on this site capible of being an adult and acknowledging they made a mistake. It is such a big deal to just say "oh sorry, I misunderstood" and move on? No one will think less of you. I promise they will think more of you than if you use sarcasm to pretend you were right or to dodge the fact that you were wrong. No one respects that.
